Hidden away amongst the scrawl of the East London streets sits public life, an old Victorian toilet converted into what is seen as one of the smallest and most exciting venues the city has to offer. Holding no more than a hundred people and a dancefloor that is still decked out in the original black and white tiles, this is truly a unique venue.

Tonight the venue plays host to “The Yessness” featuring the likes of Mr Beatnick whose sets have been described as offering the “broadest of broad musical selections”. Along side Mr Beatnick is John Phonics who brings his own brand of “hip hop influenced synthetic jazz spiritual disco music” to don the dance floor and as always residents A Filter and PATL will be spinning the freshest bass driven music to keep the dance floor moving long into the night.

Public Life, 82a Commercial Street, Spitalfields E1.
Nearest tube Liverpool St / Aldgate.
£4 entry / 8.30 til late.
