I still haven’t got my ticket! Payday is but days away and I am itching to bag my slot and embrace – no, UNITE with my fellow ravers. Really, I should posting this after I have purchased, just in case I am completely shooting myself in the foot and the last of the tickets officially sell out. I will take my chances with music destiny, I will be unselfish. I will share the love!

This is set to be a banging festival. Truth be told, I hadn’t actually heard of this one untill several weeks ago. I suspect I should be ashamed of myself for not having heard of it, but there we go – it did only debut last year. I heard it through the grapevine, checked out the line up and thought OH MY RAVEGOD! I need to go to this. Pied Piper? DJ Luck and MC Neat? Grooverider?! Yes please! Take me back to the good old days! Who really wants to be sitting on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon, watching Time Team over an unwanted plate of brussel sprouts, longing for some filthy old school rave beats? Not this Sunday the 13th of September. Not on my watch!

Tickets are sadly no longer going for a mere £20. Last release tickets are now £40. But whats an extra £20 for an action packed day celebrating over 25 years of British rave culture, with over 150 acts and 8 arenas – all in one field?

Please save me a ticket! Possible review pending…FINGERS, TOES AND LIMBS CROSSED!

Tickets for this event can be purchased on the following websites:

RRR is always on the hunt for something a little out of the ordinary! Thanks to PLAYGROUND PR, they have pulled it out of the bag [thank you for sharing!] For all those music lovers looking for fresh, quirky new underground sounds, check out the new track from SAAL. When I saw the title pop up in my emails, I immediately thought of the 2002 American science fiction thriller Signs written and directed by M. Night ShyamalanI. It is moments like this that you hope you will not be disappointed. I wanted it tp reek of extraordinary. I wanted to be transported; I wanted to feel like Abe’s Exxodus ‘avin it large at moon party on Oddworld. And yes I did! It isn’t what I usually go for, but who cares? I liked it, I played it several times, and that to me is all that counts. I am looking forward to hearing what else the talented SAAL has to offer.

‘Signs’ is the debut single to come from eclectic underground artist ‘SAAL’. Pulling together Eastern and Western influences she is an artist that needs not only to be seen or heard, but experienced. Compared by the industry to Kate Bush and PJ Harvey; SAAL combines styles, breaks genres and experiments with her sweeping vocal range to make music that is nothing short of hypnotic.

Of Dutch and Indian descent with a proportion of her family residing in South America, SAAL needn’t look far for styles to influence her sound. SAAL welcomes her roots into her music with open arms and the evidence of her eclectic background is crystal clear. Her productions are a testament to her talents and the influences that have created the link between the two. Since moving to London, SAAL has set up her own recording studio, allowing her to record and produce her own vocals and enabling collaborations with a host of electronic producers. Amsterdam, beyond providing her with a degree in music management, also kickstarted her now true love: electronic music. Bass, breakbeats, progressive house and trance have all played a monumental role in her soundscape; enhancing her desires to delve deeper underground and create music that’s dark, effective and laced with hyper-modern energy.

In addition to her adoration for all things electronic, SAAL is impacted by her love of traditional Indian vocals and instruments; the two combined capture her sense of exploration and her natural curiosity for experimental music. SAAL uses her music and her contrasting influences to skilfully show that there is more than one side to her. It’s her striking originality, euphoric live performances and an all round gorgeousness that earns SAAL her title as a truly captivating artist.

SAAL introduces ‘Signs’ like something from a planet unknown with a nod towards something seriously sci-fi. Atmospheric vocals, low end frequencies and stabs of sonic bass come together to create something eerie and eclectic before the vibe transforms at drum and bass speed, forming something high octane and dance floor ready.

‘Signs’ – Release Date 25th September 2015.

Yes! Now tracks like this is exactly why I started blogging about music. Absolutely loving ‘Pains 4 U’ by CASH+DAVID and have had it on repeat for a while now. Thank you very much to Partisan PR for sharing this one with me.

Cash+David are streaming their new single, ‘Pains 4 U’, via The Fader. Featuring a guest verse from rising Atlanta MC Rome Fortune, this track is due for release through Columbia Records on October 30th, 2015. Speaking about the track, Liz Lawrence (David) and Tim Ross (Cash) say: ‘Pains 4 U is a hypnotic repent – a call for redemption after a colossal loss. It’s a mantra of contrition with the desire to pay off a debit of pain’.

I am guilty of ignoring the lyrics of most songs, but you simply cannot ignore the message behind ‘Pains 4 U’. I think this one that will resonate with many. Irresistable beats with equally iridescent lyrics, this is a class new single for CASH+DAVID! RRR wishes them all the best for the upcoming release in October.  // //

Thank you to A & M Entertainment Inc. for sharing this track – “Tearing Down the Walls” by The Fascinated.

Singer/Songwriter Beki Colada has teamed up with music composer/producer Lionel Cohen to create the Hollywood-based 80’s-influenced synth-pop duo, “The Fascinated”.

Followers of RRR will know that I usually go for some hearty bass lines and sturdy wobbles, but every so often, I like to spice it up with some feel good pop – and who doesn’t appreciate the sweet sounds of the 80s, right?

“Tearing Down the Walls” is exactly the type of track I envisage on an episode of Made in Chelsea [LA style]…slow mo shots of posh ladies cruising in a convertible on a sunny day – their hair whipping in the wind, armed with a boot rammed with new shoes and fancy dresses. Cool sounds – nice summer vibes. I am looking forward to hearing more from The Fascinated!

In fact…as Londoners North, East, South and West tragically mourn a failing August Summer and I sit here with rain pouring through my window, I have decided to embrace the entire selection of tracks by The Fascinated on Sound Cloud, whilst imagining myself at a swanky cocktail party in the sweet lands of California. Caifornia Dreamin’ and all that!
